Zamfara women trains 200 women in skill acquisition

Zamfara state government, in collaboration with an NGO, has trained more than two hundred women in different trades and businesses. 

TVC News Correspondent, Ibrahim Bello reports that the women were trained in various trades and businesses such as soap making, shoe and bag making, make up and Food catering by the Zamfara state government in collaboration with an NGO called Kungiyar Yanci. Zamfara state deputy Governor Ibrahim Wakkala explains the rationale behind the state empowering the  two hundred women.
Guest speakers at the event call on women to pursue education so as to better their lives.

The Zamfara state government and the NGO will train and empower another set of  one thousand across the fourteen local government areas of the state.

The graduating women were presented with certificates and  resettlement equipment .
