FG launches Scheme to train 76,000 Master-trainers

The federal ministry of Labour has launched a National Small Scale Enterprises Program in Katsina state to train more than 76,000 (Seventy-six thousand) Master-trainer across the 36 states of the Federation and Abuja the FCT.

TVC News Katsina Correspondent, Awwal Ibrahim reports that 2000 (two thousand) people from each state  are expected to be trained as Master Trainers under the Small Scale Enterprises Program.
According to the Labour and employment ministry, there is need to explore and harness the potential in the informal sector of the economy due to non availability of white collar jobs.
While speaking, Senator Mustapha Bukar charged youths not to rely on Academic qualifications alone, but to strive in possessing at least a skill as an alternative source of livelihood.
As parts of its contribution, Katsina state government said it has put in place enabling environment for women to engage in income generating activities to assist their husbands in management of their respective families.
On his part, the Director General of the National Directorate of Employment disclosed that  enough finance has been set aside for smooth conducts of the training.
