Update! By Zina Network:
Emery said he urged his players to help out his midfielders more after Arsenal endured a difficult first 45 minutes.
The Gunners needed to come back from a goal down after Marko Arnautovic put West Ham in front after 25 minutes.
Defender Nacho Monreal got the Gunners back on level terms within five minutes before Arsenal scored two more in the second half.
The former PSG boss was not impressed with his side’s first-half showing and instructed his forward thinking players to recommit themselves to their defensive duties.
He said, “More transition. For the second half, we were speaking in the dressing room and to help more inside with two midfielders.
“We need the balance, in the first half we suffered more than we want.
“The players, they show every supporter we want and can do the second half going forward with balance, and win the match.
“We need this control with possession with the ball and also going forward with balance, which is important.”
It was Arsenal’s first win of the season and the first points of their league campaign after back-to-back defeats.
