Sly Stallone's 'Creed 2' Upper Body Workout Will Set Your Shoulders on Fire

The 71-year-old actor shared some impressive workout videos on Instagram.

Need some upper body inspiration? Look no further than Sly Stallone.

The actor and director recently posted some workouts on Instagram, showing off a little bit of his prep for Creed 2. At first glance, they just look like a couple of upper body burners. Then you remember he’s 71, and begin to wonder how the hell he’s still doing this sort of thing.

It's pretty safe to say Rocky could still hold his own in the ring.

WHAT'S THAT EQUIPMENT HE'S USING?

The machine Stallone’s using for his two exercises is one not too frequently found in a gym: a paddle/swim ergometer. If you can’t tell by watching, Stallone’s getting a killer shoulder, back, and chest workout in.

If you want to recreate a similar burn but don’t have this machine, try it out with a couple of resistance bands.

GETTING PREPPED FOR CREED 2

The clips are the most recent hype associated with the upcoming Creed 2, which will feature the return of Ivan Drago, played by Dolph Lundgren, the Russian powerhouse who killed Apollo Creed in Rocky IV. The plot will focus around an epic match-up between Apollo Creed’s son, played by Michael B. Jordan, and Drago’s son, played by Romanian boxer Florian Munteanu.

While Stallone has focused most of his Creed 2 promoting on the impending fight between the juniors, it’s still up in the air as to whether or not the veterans will once again put on the gloves. Lundgren has been getting back in fighting shape for some time now, and Stallone’s latest videos beg the question: Will Rocky and Drago face off in the ring once again? We certainly wouldn’t be opposed to it.

Besides training for Creed 2, Stallone has been fighting off rumors of his death. Late last year, the actor and director was accused of sexual assault, which he denied.
