It’s only right that Instagram serves as a platform for Nigerian chefs to showcase what they’re experiencing in the kitchen.

How food looks and is presented is just as important as how it tastes. So, from delectable final products to the process it involves, these professionals not only dedicate their entire lives to the culinary craft, but they also have a way of capturing it all for the ‘gram.
Here are five of our favourite chefs to follow.

1. Chef Benedict

Born and bred in Italy, it is only right Chef Benedict be a great pasta lover and cook!
Watching him cook is like witnessing art. The great thing about this chef is he hosts supper clubs every other weekend. All you have to do is is send him an email and you get to go to his house for dinner.

2. Kitchen Butterfly

For chef Ozoz Sokoh, the time spent outside of the kitchen is just as important as preparing her meals in it.
A food blogger and chef extraordinaire, Ozoz is also a senior business adviser at Shell. But that doesn't stop her from creating magic in the kitchen.

3. Heels in the kitchen

Heels in the kitchen is a private chef who wears heels in the kitchen (just kidding)! Her food is to die for and is worth obsessing over.
If you’re lucky enough, you could attend one of her events. Her culinary skills and drool-worthy cuisine will make you wish you could hire her permanently.
Follow her on the gram for a dose of food porn.

4. All Nigerian Recipes

Most definitely our fave! Chef Flo is a 50-year-old Nigerian woman who specialises in authentic traditional dishes.
Chef Flo has secured her spot as one of the most influential chefs in Nigeria. She dishes out her recipes in a funny way with a blend of traditional flavours and western one.
Just one look at her Instagram and you’ll see why she’s one of the greatest chefs in the kitchen these days.

5. Chef Muse

You can't help but love Chef Muse because of how she blends local with International cuisine. Chef Muse throws down local dishes on a regular like amala and ewedu, nsala soup and gbegiri.
