Former Trump adviser Flynn pleads guilty to lying about Russia to FBI

Former U.S. national security adviser Michael Flynn pleaded guilty of lying to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) about his contact with Russian officials during the U.S. presidential election campaign.

The former army general’s attitude change by admitting his communication with a Russian ambassador has caused quite an uproar across the country.
Special Counsel Robert Mueller is hopefully getting more clues from Flynn, who was only lightly charged by the court.
Within 24 hours after Flynn’s plea at the federal court in Washington D.C., Trump told the press his team had “absolutely no collusion” with the Kremlin.

He has underlined that Flynn’s guilty plea does not prove his team had any connection with Russian officials. And many of the president’s supporters hold the light charge against Flynn just demonstrates there’s no development in the probe.
